More Pet Food Recalls

The situation is getting worse by the day. ** shock **

Anyway, do check out the latest news from CNN.com. Seems that a big can of worms is being dug up by the FDA into why the pet food has been tainted.

Important!!! Pet Food Recall!

It has come to my attention that there was a pet food recall in the US after it was found that 15 cats and dogs died from renal failure after eating certain tainted pet foods produced by a manufacturer called Menu Foods. The pet food recall took place in the US and I'd suppose the recall should happen in Malaysia, if affected.

Some big-brand food producers are affected and it is advised that you check the Menu Foods Recall site for more information to see if the food you have purchased for your pet is on the list or not.

Thankfully, Snoopy has been taking Royal Canin and she is not affected. However, best to go through the list carefully to ensure that the food you have purchased for your dog is safe! (*___*)

Another Senseless Killing

Another piece of news has caused me to be very disturbed... To cut the story short, it is about the inhumane killing of a stray dog within a school compound. It happened right in front of the school's chemistry lab; with 100 students in the block where the incident occurred.

Both parties are to blame in this matter. The principal of the school hadn't heard of the SPCA? The Ipoh City council workers should have had more sense to take the dog away instead of killing it in front of pupils. Imagine if the workers were not "sharpshooters", and the bullet hit a student, that would be a big piece of news.

These people have absolutely no brain nor heart whatsoever. They kill an animal just because it was diseased and was a nuiscance. Why didn't they call the SPCA? I'm sure that they would have picked up the animal and cared for it. Who knows, the dog would have found a good home.

Imagine this... If someone took your kid out to be shot, just because your kid was diseased and a nuiscance (which alot of kids are - being at an incorrigible age), would you allow it?

Anyway, I doubt anything will happen even with the outcry, because these people treat stray dogs as nuiscance and sub-animal (due to certain religious practices).

*SIGH*....

A Fellow Nature Lover Dies...!!!

I got the greatest shock in my life! Steve Irwin had died from a freak accident.

(T___T)... Another nature lover taken, but he died what he loved doing best. Being close to nature, trying to educate others about all things made by God, big and small, dangerous and docile, poisonous and safe...

May God bless his family during this time.

Finally!! Some Sense!!

My human came across this piece of news online. Read it! After reading about how those 13 dogs died, it is about time someone/some people step into tell these idiots that this is NOT a proper thing to do. (>___<)

Hopefully, they are able to understand this. My only fear is that the top level management may understand but the downlines, the low level workers at the ground level may not carry out the instructions from management properly. (T__T)

Another Piece Of Sad News - 13 Dogs Die

I was browsing through The Star this morning and came across some very disturbing news about an owner of 25 dogs losing 13 of them to death by shotgun. The same news had been reported by The Sun as well.

If you read the story closely, the owner had been given numerous notices to move the dogs, put them up for adoption or even put some of them to death (humanely). It's quite sad to read this piece of news. Imagine, having been asked to put one of your best friends to death, because it's the law. This is a hypothetical question and of course, it isn't possible, but what if you were asked to do so? It's not a pleasant thing to do.

I didn't like the way the situation was being handled. Municipality officers coming to the house, armed with guns, shooting down the dogs in the owner's house! That's just cruel and inhumane! Couldn't they have brought in a van or lorry to take these dogs somewhere to be put to sleep by a vet? The worse part was, along with the municipality officers, the Veterinary Services Department (VSD) officers were there as well. Shouldn't these people have some decency to remove the dogs from the premises before humanely putting them to sleep?

This is just utterly barbaric. Shooting dogs is not like shooting crows as these dogs were confined, had no place to run and these people were firing guns in a housing area!! What if a small child was nearby and the gun misfired and hit the child instead of the dog? Isn't that dangerous??

Anyway, I can't complain much as I've been told, "if you don't like this country, get out!". *sigh*...

Sure, these officers were just "carrying out orders", making a living, just doing their job. So, I can't blame them. I can only blame the senior municipal officers, whom they report to, because they are the ones making the policies and processes on how to handle such situations. X-(

Anyway, I know that God will make these animals whole when they meet him in heaven. I pray to God for forgiveness for these people for they know not what they did.

Let us take a moment of silence for the 13 dogs who died...

Sad News...

Moose a.k.a "Eddie"
(24th Dec 1990 - 22 June 2006)

A very piece of sad news has reached my ears this morning, the infamouse "Eddie" (Moose) from Frasier has passed on to go meet our Lord at the Rainbow Bridge.

He was a good dog, rescued from the pound by his trainer and has entertained us for many years before retiring, letting his son Enzo take over the reigns of being "Eddie" on Fraiser.

One day, we shall meet up over the Rainbow Bridge, just like I wait for the day to meet my Oofy there.

As a tribute, we should watch "My Dog Skip" as Moose was featured prominently there. Note though, you may end up crying at the end of the movie.
