Merry X'mas!!!!
What do I want for my X'mas this year?
- Bones to chew one (I stole a chicken wing for X'mas)
- All cats to stay away
- All cats to move slower so that I can pounce on them
- More human food
- More toys
- More human food (oh... Did I say this? Well... )
- More puppies and doggies (both pure and mixed) to have good homes
- No more wars
- Humans treat each other better (cause they are here to serve us doggies!)
- Better distribution of wealth between those doggies whose humans are richer than others
- That humans understand that there are no bad dogs, just bad owners...

Paperweight...
Greetings again... Here I am, in another compromising position that my human has taken a photo off...I'm beginning to feel that I'm being chased by "puppyrazzi"... ;)
Anyway, my other human decided that I could be very useful as a paperweight to hold down some big pieces of paper that he was writing. It was comfy, but not comfy enough. It was a hot night, I wanted to feel the cool tiled floor. Oh... Don't ask me what the paper says, I only understand Dog.
You must be asking, how can I write this blog? Well, I've got telepathic connections with my blog-writing human who has installed a "Dog-a-lator" in order to communicate with me. Mind you, this "Dog-a-lator" only works one way, i.e. I speak, human listen...
(^o^)... Meanwhile.. Woof... Time for a nap

I'm famous!!... Sort of... (Snoopy's Entry)
My human received a mail today notifying me that my diary at Dogster.com was chosen as "Diary Of The Day"... :)
At least some people are interested in what is happening in my day... ;)
If you're interested.. Here's my Dogster Diary... (^.^)
Other than that, my human told me that I'm kind of famous. While developing some digital photos at the mall today, the guy at the photo shop commented that I looked like the famous "Milo" from "The Mask". He asked if I did the same thing like what Milo did, i.e. grabbed something and never let go. My human said "Yes. She can be held up to 1 feet off the ground... Strong jaws..."
Actually, thats kind of true. I'll only hang on because you've got my favourite toy. If you let go, I'll give it to you.... Sort of... :P... By the way, I think I can be held up to 2 feet off the ground... ;)...

Sleeping On The Job (Snoopy's Entry)
I don't know how I get myself into such situations....Contrary to the title, I'm not sleeping on the job. I just happened to close my eyes. Anyway, I got bored with my humans this evening as they were busy with a little kitchen fire as explained by my human...
Anyway, the kitchen was smelly and so, I couldn't hang out there. Besides, the human didn't want to give me nice stuff, so, I went away.
This chair is kind of comfy. I shall make it mine!!!
Remember the dog rules...
- What is yours is mine
- What is mine is mine
- What seems to be yours is definitely mine

Horrible Sucky Thingy... (Snoopy's Entry)
What's that noise??
Oh no!! Its that thing that makes a lot of noise which sucks things!! The humans use it to get rid of hair, dead bugs and dust... I hate it!
I hate the sound... I hate the smell... I hate that the humans have to use it...
Its getting nearer.... nearer.... nearer.............................**Run!!**

Cats Cats... DARN CATS!!! (Snoopy's Entry)
**Yawn**...
I'm sooooo sleepy. Those darn cats have been hanging around the back of my property for a while now. Wonder what's the big event.
At certain times of the day, some black cat will be meowing away. I go to the fence, I give them my fiercest stare but they will not budge. I get so angry, I bark and bark at them. Still, they don't care. My human slaves hear my barks, they come and sprays some water at those nasty cats. Only then, will these creatures move...
Ok.. Time for my nap. I'll dream of a day and age when cats are no longer around my property...
ZZZZzzzzzZZZZZ.....
Snoopy's Owner: I'm not a cat hater.... Snoopy is... I think she doesn't like their "attitude"...

I'm famous!! (Snoopy's Entry)
I'm actually famous! My human has decided to post a video up on what I'm capable off. Needless to say, this video doesn't do me justice.
It doesn't show my jumping abilities, the ability to steal towels and cloths hanging from things and others... ;)
Anyway, have fun!

Constipation... (Snoopy's Entry)
What an uncomfortable feeling... My stomach is sooo bloated. I have no energy to do my work, checking on the cats trying to cross my territory.
My furslaves have tried to feed me very yummy treats but I'm not feeling well. *Sigh*.. Why? Because I was sooo constipated... My stomach is full of *poot*. I cannot go poo... No matter what I do. Turning around while lying on my stomach did not stir the *poot* to move...
Then finally, in the afternoon, my *poot* decided to move. How did I know? I started to gas my humans. **grin**
Ah.. Sweet relief! After going for my poo, I was able to run, jump and terrorize my slaves again!.. Ahaha...
How did I get constipated? I don't know... Probably had too much insect or junk food that one of the slaves fed me last nite. Nevertheless, I think I'll have to chew some grass for fibre....

Lonely... Part 2 (Snoopy's Bear-Bear Entry)
Monday, October 17, 2005
Sleepy weekend (Snoopy's entry)
My humans kept asking me to "doo-doo" (go to sleep) and I didn't understand why... But anyway, the grass was wet, I was deprived of my daily "sun worship" ritual and so, decided to kick back and "doo-doo" with my human slaves. It had been raining throughout the weekend.
The cats didn't come out... Must be the water... Hehehe.. Water + Grass = No cat
Today seems better.. Will spend an extra 20 minutes in the sun before my human brings me in. I need the vitamin D.....
Meanwhile... **YAWN**... Another week begins.

I'm Too Sexy for My Shirt ... (Snoopy's Entry)
Hehe... A new item for my wardrobe... And... A new chewtoy... My furslave has done well...If you can't read... (Because you're a dumb Doberman...) My teee-shirt says "Von Dog". If you must know, its one of the more fashionable labels in dog chic. If you don't know what is chic, better refer to the Fab Five for some tips!!
Hmmmm... Ok... ok.. I'll have to admit.. Blue is not my colour... I'll have to chew on my slave's fingers for getting this wrong. Its ok... That gives me perfect justification to go shopping! What else can a girl do?
If you're wondering, my chew toy is a sandwich, not a hotdog. It makes a lovely squeaky noise that makes me want to kill it. I think I have killed my furslaves hearing because they can't seem to hear me bark these days!
Oh yea, my eyes are never so green. Got to bite my furslaves hands for this one.. AGAIN!!
Meanwhile.. Ciao babe... I'll be hanging out by the porch with Squeaky McSandwich here...

Worse Than 404:Page Not Found Error
"There has been a catastrophic error. Please stand by."Hmmm... I'm still standing by... But got nothing?? :(
This is the error I got while trying to login to my other blog at MSN Spaces tonight... o_O...
Not that I didn't appreciate the error message but what catastrophic error occurred? Hmmmm... Being a slightly seasoned developer, most of the time, when an error occurs, we tend to let it all spill out, in Java-speak, spill out the exception stacktrace, ugly though it maybe, but it offered some important information to us developers. Anyway, moving along, this kind of error message is great, but lacking the M$ logos and what-not, one might *think* that the site got h4ck3d ("hacked" in l33t sp33k)... (Causing some people to run around screaming in panic??)
If this were a locally hosted site, one would wonder if the catastrophic event had something to do with TNB "cutting" off power to the datacentre where the website is hosted? **grin**
Meanwhile, I'll let the catastrophic error resolve itself...

Why did the chicken cross the road?
Haha... I love this... check it out...
**ROTFLOL**
What The Experts Had To Say... on " WHY DID THE CHICKEN CROSS THE ROAD ?"
Kindergarten teacher: Because it wanted to get to the other side
Computer Programmer: In order for the chicken to cross the road safely they would need more than one driver to access the server farm, if not they will hang in the middle of the road.
Java Developer:
if (chicken.isCrossRoad() == true) {
chicken.setLocation(THE_OTHER_SIDE);
} else {
//do nothing
}
Local Malaysian Politician: Cross the road-ar? Pay toll first....

Gas-ing Your Furslaves
**Phew**
What a relief!! My bloated tummy feels sooo much better now...
**sheepish grin**...
Of late, my slaves have been turning up their noses whenever they carry me. Apparently, they claim that I have been "gas-ing" them. One slave affectionately labelled me as a German Gas Making Factory... I'm absolutely offended.
First of all, I'm not a German Sheppard, therefore, I don't make German Gas... If you want to be specified, I generate pure JRT gas...
Second of all, who said that it was smelly?? You humans have such a poor sense of smell... One can easily tell that I had lovely chicken (or what looks like chicken) and lamb (what tastes like lamb) for tea. Also, mixed that with some lovely grass and a couple of flies as well. If other dogs were nearby, they didn't have to ask what I had for tea, they just need to smell it.
I do have to admit one thing though, my slaves said that my stomach is a bit bloated and its true. I have to admit that but perhaps that could have been caused by certain foods the Skinny-One has been giving me. She is such a sucker for puppy dog eyes... All I have to do is just stare intently at her and she gives in, giving me some of her yummy food. Sometimes, she even leaves something on my plate for me to pick up.
Anyway, please do not press on my stomach now... You might get something more than you bargained for... And I'm not just talking about gas... ^_^

That stupid cat (Snoopy's Entry)
It happened again...
That stupid cat intruded my domain tonight. I was sooooooo close to getting to that stupid cat!!!
It happened when it was very dark. I have no notion of time, only when it is time to get up, go for kai-kai, eat, nap, sunbathe and wait for the sky turns dark. It makes no difference to me, except that I'm more alert at night. Which is how this story began.
I heard something, so I got up to investigate. I had to bark quite loud, my furslaves were not paying attention tonight. After a couple of woofs, I managed to get out. There really was something funny happening at the back of the house. I rushed to investigate...
**sniff**.. **sniff*....
Aha!! I saw some eyes glow in the dark... I sneak up on it... It smells sooo familiar, something dark and smells a lot like fish.. Its..... a CAT!! That Black Cat!! Chase!! Chase!! Chase!!!!!!!
Ok!! ... I got it cornered... I bark to alert my furslaves... My furslaves didn't come... So, I bark louder and longer. The Cat was sooo scared... It was cornered, cowered between the outdoor shelves, trying to get away from me. I was guarding the only exit. It would take a very quick jump to get by me.... Grrrrrrr...
Finally, the furslave comes. She shrieks and makes a loud noise... The garden lights come on... I got distracted... The cat bolts!!
ARRRRRGgggggggGGGGHHHH... The cat got away!!! It just bolted and jumped up the wall to escape!
Hmmmm... If it hadn't been for my incompetent slaves, I would have gotten a swipe at that stupid cat!!!
I reluctantly go in... The other furslave (the-one-who-always-give-me-human-food), was so proud of me. I didn't understand a single thing she said in that squeeky voice she has but I think she was happy and proud of me.
Maybe next time, I'll get that cat and present it to her doorstep.. Hehe..... 'til the next time.....
You have been warned cat.... You have been warned...

Lonely... (Snoopy's Bear-Bear Entry)
I'm sitting here by myself all alone........ (-_-)
Why am I alone?
Did she leave me here by mistake? Did she find the noisy burger toy more yummy to bite?
Maybe the furslave has washed me and all her "smell" is gone... But I'm now like "new"... So, I should be very yummy to bite...
Snoopy... Wherever you are.. I'm here................... By the curtain.......... Waiting for you...........
Musings
It would seem that Snoopy has taken over the "dAwG HouSe"... and she has...
She has threatened me with many "wooofs" and also subjected me to a re-education session by forcing to open and closing doors for her, i.e. whenever she wants to move from room to room.
Hmmmm... So.. The "dAwG HouSe" does belong to a dog... I've got to go now... o_0.. Before my furmaster comes back....

My human's face is yummmy!!! (Snoopy's Entry)
**Lick** **Lick**....
I wonder why my human's face is sooo yummy? I can't understand it... Must be something my human had for lunch. The smell is just there.... Near the mouth... The Ears... Yummy!!!
I saw a show on Animal Planet some time back about my ancestors, i.e. the wolves. It seems that pups would lick the face of the adults in order to get them to regurgitate food for them to eat! HOW DISGUSTING!!! I would never do that!! I'm a civilized lady...... If my human intends to regurgitate, at least please do so in my dinner plate...
Oooo.. Time for a stretch and possibly a quick "worship of the sun"... I am a lady after all and I need to develop some nice tan for my fur... Hmmm... Oh yeah, and I heard that vitamin D is good for you.
Meanwhile, I'll just wait until my human gets home and see what smells she brings home. I'm guessing that it would be some chicken and spicy curry!!
(( YAWN ))... Nap time!!

Call me "Gandhi" (Snoopy's entry)
My humans have decided to "cut me off" from my yummmy food.
What's wrong with having peanut butter, chicken and fried fish everyday?
What's this yucky gunk with liver bits in with my dry food?
WHAT?? YOU ARE GOING TO GIVE ME DRY FOOD ONLY???
Gggrrrrrr... This is getting on my nerves!!
Ok... I won't eat, I won't play... I'll be grumpy all day (hey... this rhymes)
This hunger strike is for all furmasters all over!! Rise up and take the challenge!! Starve yourself, drink water only if you have to!! No furmaster should take this from their furslaves. We should be able to eat whatever we want, whenever we want! Let them see my ribs....

I'm soooo itchy.... (Snoopy's Entry)
I'm sooo itchy....
Why is my tail so itchy.... My paws... That spot on my right leg...
**SCRATCH** **SCRATCH**.... Hmmmmm....Ahhhh... Nice!!!
Oooo..... Where was I?? Ah yes... My humans just received some nice mum-mum from their other human who came to the house. Smells good... *lick lips*... Wonder if it will taste nice...
Wait.... Itchy tail... **SCRATCH** **SCRATCH**....
Oops.. Sorry, where was I?? Ah yes... If the Thin-Human comes back and has something to eat, must remember to jump on the chair and stare at her intently....
Wait... Itchy leg... Again... **SCRATCH** **SCRATCH**....
**SCRATCH** **SCRATCH**....**SCRATCH** **SCRATCH**....**SCRATCH** **SCRATCH**....
Angie - I'm afraid Snoopy has gone off for a bath...
Snoopy - I hated it. I had to be a dog (chained to a leash) for 30mins so that my fur could dry off

New Car Smell... (Snoopy's Entry)
Oooo....
My humans have gotten a new vehicle for me to survey my "kingdom". Big Mama said that I should be carried by a slave because my "feathers" will fall out. Hmmm... I'm quite insulted. I wear nice fur but not feathers...
Anyway, the new vehicle smells nice... The slave carried me and I had a few smells. Smells good, let's have a taste... *LICK*... YUCK!!! **cough** **cough**... What do these humans put in their chairs? This doesn't taste like the last vehicle's one???!!
*Sigh* Looks like I've got to be carried by my slaves while in this vehicle. Oh well, at least its better than nothing. :)
Ok... Time to terrorize the lizards...

That itch on my back (Snoopy's Entry)
Another cool day... Some sunlight... Must sunbathe soon... :)
I wonder what the humans are feeding me lately. I always seem to have this sudden itch down the middle of my back every day. I am compelled to go on my back and scratch it using my toys. It always seem to start from the middle and work it ways down to my tail.. My humans seem to think this is very funny when they see me twisting and turning on my back...
Just wait 'til I hide the back scratcher.... >:).. Then, we'll see who will do the twisting and turning...
One of the humans (the thinnest one) came back from somewhere last night and got a lot of goodies!! Hmmmm... I'm more interested with the smell than the toys she got me. Chocolate... chocolate... Coffee... Things I can't taste... oooo.... Red, shiny... PLASTIC BAG!! PLASTIC BAG!!!!!!! Steal... Steal... Steal....
**The author regrets to inform that Snoopy has gone off in one of her steal...chase... hide activities.**

The Importance of A Serene Mind (Snoopy's Entry)

Again... I was caught off-guard by my human... *_*
My humans laughed when they saw this picture. They exclaimed, "Hah!! We caught Snoopy closing her eyes before her nap!"... They did not know, [puny minds], that I was merely having a quick meditation session.
Medidation is important. It helps me focus on my tasks for the day, i.e.
1. Eating
2. Hunting for creatures smaller than I am (flying and non-flying)
3. Running around (I do this alot!!)
4. Commando...
5. Put on a cool look whenever my humans "converse" with me.
6. Conversing with my friends
7. Fighting/Chasing/Give glare to this creature called CAT
8. Performing "tricks". Actually, I'm just flexing my muscles. Humans are so easily entertained...
and finally,
9. My daily inspection of the neighbourhood. Humans call this "Kai Kai".. Don't know what it really means but it makes me want to tilt my head from side-to-side.
**Yawn**... Time for my 100th nap of the day. My humans are concerned that I'm turning into a CAT. I'll get into that subject one day...

Wow...
Its been a while since my last update. Anyway, been rather busy lately with so many things going on at a time. Things has been rather hectic at work, with people leaving and joining the organization. Each time, I must spend some time in handing over and briefing staff about their roles, responsibilities and projects that they are involved with.
In the last month, I've decided to get my PS2 (finally) and also a TV. Kekeke... I think a lot of people know that I've been talking about getting a PS2 ever since it came out. However, due to price and economic constraints, I felt that I shouldn't get it. After allocating some $$ for it, I've finally decided to get it. Hmmm... But after spending so much time saving my $$, it was hard to part with it. :P... The miser in me came out...
*Sigh*... In the end, I finally went to a shop and got my PS2 over the Labour Day weekend. It was a time when I was really frustrated with work and I wanted an avenue of escape. I've been advised to not play with it > 2hrs because the new version has some heatsink problems. I figured that I won't be playing that long anyway because, by then, my thumbs would be really sore from the button-mashing action. ^_^
I'm currently enjoying the sports games, not so much the action/arcade or FPS (first person shooters). Probably because I'm a sports fan first and an action gamer second. I picked up God of War a couple of weeks back and it is a fantastic game!! Lots of blood and gore... My type of game.. >:)
Ok.. That's it for now. I'm in the middle of cleaning up my room, got a new shelf to house all my books (and its still not big enough!) and am thinking of getting a new table and chair so that I can watch TV in my room.
Back to green tea and watching Snoopy sleep on the couch.

That darn squirrel (Snoopy's Entry)
I have just been fed by my humans and am full now, thank you. However, I wouldn't mind a bit of cheese or anything tasty that you might be having right now... ;)
Right now, my human is watching some ball been hit between two other humans on the Box Which Makes Sounds and Moving Pictures. Frankly, if it were me, that ball would be much happier with me, taking it elsewhere to be licked, bitten, slobbered and loved all over.
Anyway, the highlight of my day was chasing that darn squirrel. It had the nerve to come into My Area. I was very close to catching it... Always... soooo close... I still smell the squirrel. It is always nearby. I must patrol every night to watch out for cats and other small creatures. Always, my humans must lock me in at night. Every night I have to command them to open up for me to go out. *Sigh*, why don't they understand that if I do not chase these creatures, My Area would be overrun by them??
My human has caught this photo of me and the squirrel. Hmmmm... They find it so amusing, to me, its a serious matter. If I do not keep up my vigilence, My Area would be overrun by these creatures. Before my coming, my humans had a lot of problems with Those Flying Things Which Poop All Over. By my hard work, their numbers decrease day by day.
*Yawn*... Time to get on with my scheduled sleep. The humans term it "Doo-doo time"... If I play my cards right, tonight I may get a treat of peanut-butter from The Human Who Plays Golf.. ^_^
Wooof....

Man your workstation!!!
My new workstation... [*_*"]
Notice that I've got all that I need...
1. Power supply securely taped to the side of the table.
2. Close proximity to the water cooler/heater (just a teeny weeny hop, skip, jump away from behind the chair)
3. Foldable sidetable!!! (Made up of a couple of boxes...)
Anyway, my new workstation is not even 4 feet in length and I've traded in the lovely comfy, red chair for a tacky plastic/metal chair from IKEA because it just took too much space ALONG THE CORRIDOR... *sigh*...
^_^"... Why am I located in such a wonderful location? Well, there isn't enough space in the office. We're overflowing with people. I got bumped from my seat because I was mobile, so I could take a smaller place. The person who took over was assigned a desktop and so, needed more place bla bla...
I was told that this setup would be temporary. Doubt that it would stay that way... The word "temporary" has a way to evolve to "permanent" around these parts...
Oh well, I managed to make myself a little more comfortable by putting up a Star Wars III poster on the blue partition. The only downside is that because I'm in (a) corridor and (b) close to the water cooler/heater, people can easily look over my shoulder and see stuff going on in my laptop.
I've been bitchin' about the new location but well, its ok. Pretty blessed to have some place to sit of my own, unlike my other colleague who had to sit in the boss's room......................................

2nd Sunday of Easter... The passing of a great servant of God...
The 2nd Sunday of Easter traditionally has the reading where Thomas, the "Doubter" doubts the resurrection of Christ. And when Jesus appears in front of Thomas to show him His hands and His side, Thomas believes that Jesus has risen and Jesus says, "Happy are those who have not seen and yet believe"...With today's modern technology in communication and media, the passing of Pope John Paul II was watched worldwide, and thus, the phrase, "seeing is believing" takes on a new meaning in this time of age. I feel sad and elated at the same time because personally, I do not know the Pope, but his works has influenced most of my spiritual adult life. Like many people in my generation, he's the only Pope we've known. Even in his old age, he still worked for the church and God, until his body could not take it any longer. Whenever I got an SMS hearing that the Pope was in hospital, like so many of my friends, we said a quiet prayer in hope that God will grant a miracle. Well, this time, when I had the message, I said a prayer to ask God to grant him a graceful and serene death for it was time that he returned to God.
This brings back memories of Oofy, when she was sick in the animal clinic and we couldn't see her. That night, upon reaching home, I prayed the rosary, hoping that God will grant a miracle to cure her. However, at the end of it, I felt a great sense of relief and started crying because I knew that Oofy had gone home to God and that all was well. I cried but at the same time, felt at peace and accepted her passing. I knew at that very moment, that night, she was walking side-by-side with Jesus.
So, this brings back to the Gospel that I heard this evening. There are so many people in the world who have not heard or seen the pope but yet was touched in many ways through his ministry. This is the power of faith...

I felt the earth move under my feet...
Kekeke...
Nope, this is not the song from Enimem (which is a remake from a 90's song)... :D
Anyway, it should be HUGE news by now that a quake hit somewhere near Sumatra, Indonesia on the 29/03/2005 at 12:09am. What was I doing then??
Well... Aside from doing the Netizen routine of 1) chatting or "IM-ing" friends, 2) downloading stuff and 3) surfing, I was working real hard on this proposal that I'm not even supposed to mention... =PPPP
Suddenly, I felt dizzy, really dizzy for around 2-3 mins. I thought it was a dream because I've been working so darn hard lately and thought, perhaps, I should call it a night. Then, got this SMS from a colleague who asked if I felt the earth move... Hmmmm..
We speculated, 1) Some HUGE explosion happened in Klang Valley (hey... it did happen ages ago.. some fireworks factory exploded causing a small "earthquake" that DID REGISTER on the Ricther scale), 2) Earthquake... which immediately, we speculated... Tsunami?? (No.. no... not our boss.. Kekeke) Colleague was waiting downstairs at the condo parking lot along with other residences to see what happened.
Anyway, after a lot of SMSes... I scoured the web news sites for info... Nothing.. Nada.. Niet... Told colleague that it would take around 30mins - 1 hr for these ppl to pick up anything... ;) Read some on-going stuff on Michael Jackson trial (aiii... when will it end...) and something interesting on this case in US for this brain damaged woman who had her feeding tube removed... etc. I got distracted..
Finally, after 1 hr later.. BIG, RED banner turned up on CNN... stated that a quake hit Asia... Ahhh.. fled to Tv to catch news on Astro... Meanwhile, colleague got tired of waiting and she went home to her Mom's place, which is a landed property.
I tried to convince parents that something happened, but to no avail. They thought that I had gone bonkers but after they saw the news, they were shocked. Hmmm.... Snoopy was very hyper at midnite, she refused to sleep. She jumped on the bed and went nuts... Hmmm.. She knew something was up...
I even SMSed a friend in Penang to find out if all is ok, since Penang was also hit by the Tsunami on Boxing Day '04. Luckily, she was on the other side of the island and she only replied the next morning. (:PPPP)
Anyway, in light of all that has happened, hopefully, casualties will not be high as this happened at night, when most of the region are sleeping.
God is waking us up.... Pray and hope that no big earthquakes should hit the region soon... Earthquakes will come but lets hope that it won't happen so soon...

Haze, haze go away...
Plenty of talk about the haze. The problem occurred due to adverse weather experienced in M'sia where there was no rain for weeks, causing the air to be hot and dry, sometimes humid.
Anyway, I took a couple of pictures using my new digital cam (Nikon Coolpix E5900) and saw the effect before (Saturday, 26/2/2005) and after (Sunday, 27/2/2005) the heavy downpour on Sunday morning. The situation was so bad on Saturday morning that I couldn't breathe and even developed a bad case of migraine later due to the heat & hazy air. Breathing the air is like smoking 1 pack of cigarettes per hour... x_x

Hazy day (taken 26/2/2005)

After the Rain (taken 27/2/2005)
It rained again this afternoon and I do hope that the rain will continue to improve the air quality around KL/PJ, such a relief to have cool air in the evening. Don't have to spend so much money on electricity as we have to turn on the fan full-blast or have the air-conditioning on until the wee hours of the morning. Better pray for more rain so that we won't have water shortage........

Modem Updates...
I'm so happy... Finally reset the darn modem and got it working with the router...
Coolness... Hmmm... Now, to get myself a nice DVD-ReWriter... (muahahahahaaha)... Then, my network is "almost" complete......
Hint: Angie wishes for a new notebook for her b'day this year... Oooo... Throw in a PS2 Slim (with 10 games, 2 dualshock controllers) as well.. ;)

No Escape...
![]() | Hmmm.. It's Saturday and I've got to do work... =((... Mom has decided to throw a dinner party for all the relatives since my uncle from Perth is down here and would be going back tomorrow evening. Hmmmm... No escape... I've got to do the work while my sis goes off some place where she can have fun... *sigh*... Ahh.. The "benefit" of being the eldest in the family... |
Wish I were like Snoopy, able to hide under the table (nick-named the Kennel) for the rest of the afternoon. I'd probably be able to do that but the problem is, there are a lot of stuff under the table and plus, the floor is just too hard for me to sleep on.. LOL!!!

Sleep Deprived
Sigh... Modem/Router Problems again... X0...
The cheapo modem that I got from TMNet is working but the darn thing won't allow me to change the IP address range from the 192.168.1.xxx range to something else... GRRRRRRRR... Colleague has suggested a couple of "interesting" solutions.... :PPPP
If I didn't need to share the connection access, I wouldn't have had to go through the pain of setting this up. Anyway, its fun and challenging to do something different once in a while... ;) I've been playing with this stuff for the last couple of days and it has cost me a lot of hours of much needed sleep. I'm already quite deprived of sleep due to the scorching heat in KL recently and now, to stay up because of such "trivial" problem... *sigh*...
****YAWN****... That's it... I'm throwing the towel... for now... Need sleeeeeeeeppppp.....ZZZzzzzzZZZZZZ

- Burn the modem... Get TMNet to give a brand new one (Kasda, I believe...)
- Turn the modem/router into a modem (the 1st primary job)...

One of Those Days...
Ever got one of those days when you just feel so tired after being bombarded by funny and strange questions? Well... This is just one of those days...
Being a "techie" for so long, one should have developed the following sets of abilities,
Today, my patience is being tested by various parties that I'm dealing with and frankly, this is wearing thin.
Perhaps it is because I'm really tired and cranky... (Too many late nights doing work and drinking loads of coffee in the morning after)
Perhaps I'm just fed up of being asked silly questions?
Perhaps I should just say "Ooooooooouuuuuuuussssssshhhhhhaaaaaaa" when such people come over... Hmmmmm....

Happy New Year of the Rooster!!!
Happy CNY 2005 - Year of the Rooster
Ah... CNY is upon us... Anyway, there is only 1 day left to the 15 day celebration of CNY. Kekeke... This year, my angpow collection is a bit low but then, considering my *ahem* "advanced" age, I shouldn't be getting any. However, since I'm unmarried, I'm still entitled to it... Yay!!!! The best part of it is that I can get some extra $$$ from recently married friends... Kekekekeke... Some were a bit grouchy, others "claimed" to have forgotten to bring angpow out, while others expect you to greet them first prior to getting your loot... :P
Anyway, this was the year that I lost really badly at mahjong. We didn't play with real $$$ but my friends won such big amounts that I got bankrupt after a few rounds... sigh sigh... Well, still looking forward to next year's mahjong!!! ;)
